What is Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?
Search engine optimization (SEO) is the practice of increasing the amount of visitors to a website by ensuring that it appears high on a search engine's list of results.
You may boost your chances of appearing at the top of Google, Yahoo!, and Bing by focusing on one or two keywords and optimizing your blog and posts for them.

So, how do you boost your website's SEO?

Keywords
What is the topic of your blog post or website? Keywords are the words or phases that a website discusses. Keywords are the focus of search engines.

Choose your keywords carefully, and avoid broad, generic terms such as "technology" or "marketing." You have a slim chance of winning that search fight. Longtail keywords, such as 21st century technological trends or digital marketing best practices, should be used instead.

Headlines
The first thing a website visitor will do is look here. As a result, it should be the first location where you insert your keyword. If you're writing about smartphone battery life, your headline should read "5 Tips for Improving Smartphone Battery Life." This tells the web what to look for when crawling your site and tells the search engine what you're writing about.

Anchor text

Hyperlinks are another term for this. If you use your keywords in your hyperlinks, search engines pay close attention. If you're writing about smartphone battery life, you should include a link to a site that discusses the topic.

Body copy

This is the blog post's real text, and it requires your keywords. If you're writing for search engine optimization, you should aim for a keyword density of roughly 2%. That is, your keyword should appear twice in every 100 words. If you use more than 2%, your writing will sound forced. So, in a 300-word post, your keyword should appear no more than six times.

Backlinks
An incoming hyperlink from one web page to another is known as a back link. The more links pointing back to your blog, Google considers your site to be more valuable.
Backlinks can be built by leaving comments on other people's blogs, including your blog URL in email and forum footers, and, of course, providing high-quality content that encourages others to write about you.
Backlinks in blog comments have little effect on your overall SEO. When other people write about you or link to you on their site, you get actual backlink power. It also expands your network by introducing you to new potential readers and social media connections.

Software
There are a variety of applications that can assist you in optimizing your site for search engines. WordPress has a number of plugins that can assist you with this. These plugins keep track of your site's readability and how keywords are used.
The world of search engine optimization is complicated and ever-changing, but the principles are simple to grasp, and even a little understanding may make a great difference.
